    KAPLAN UNIVERSITY’S MASON CITY CAMPUS TO HOST

    GRADUATION CEREMONY FRIDAY

     

    Ceremony to Recognize 21 Students

     

    MASON CITY, Iowa, Oct. 28, 2010 Kaplan University’s Mason City campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, Oct. 29, for 21 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at Music Man Square, 308 S Pennsylvania Ave.

     

    The Mason City based-school will recognize students for earning a bachelor’s degree, associate degree or diploma in one of six fields including allied health, arts and sciences, business, criminal justice, information technology or legal. Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. 

     

    “In today’s economy, it is so important to pursue higher education to help attain your career goals,” said Todd Ellwein, interim executive director of the Mason City campus. “We are proud that our graduates made the decision to continue their education, and we wish them success in their future endeavors.”

     

    According to the Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Department of Workforce Development, Research and Analysis Division, computer support specialist positions are expected to increase by 14 percent and medical assistant positions by 29 percent between 2008 and 2018.

     

    Kaplan University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).  The HLC is listed as a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
