    Kaplan universitY’S Cedar falls campus TO HOST GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR 96 STUDENTS FRIDAY

     

    CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, March. 12, 2010—Kaplan University’s Cedar Falls campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, March 12, for 96 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Prairie Lakes Church, 1907 Viking Road, Cedar Falls. 

     

    The Cedar Falls-based school will recognize students for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas or certificates in fields including allied health, arts & sciences, business, criminal justice, information technology, legal and nursing.  Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the most recent State of Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Policy and Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 33 percent, security guard positions by 21.3 percent, and accounting positions by 18.7 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    “In these economic times, it is even more important to secure higher education,” said Gwen Bramlet-Hecker, president of Kaplan University Cedar Falls.  “These graduates have achieved a valuable asset by securing a college education, and I commend them on all of their efforts.”

     

    The Kaplan University Cedar Falls campus is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
