KAPLAN CAREER INSTITUTE’S CHARLESTOWN CAMPUS TO HOST GRADUATION CERMEONY FRIDAY

    161 Students to be Recognized

Charlestown, Mass., April 16, 2010—Kaplan Career Institute’s Charlestown campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, April 16, for 161 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Somerville High School, 81 Highland Avenue, Somerville, Mass.  Tony Stromberg, founder of Crossingate, a professional training and coaching company, will keynote the ceremony.

The Charlestown-based school will recognize students earning diplomas in one of four programs in the information technology, trade or allied health fields.  Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the most recent State of Massachusetts Occupational Projections, a report by the Massachusetts Workforce Development, Policy and Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 24 percent from 2006 to 2016.

“We are proud of our graduates,” said Stephen Carter, executive director of Kaplan Career Institute’s Charlestown campus.  “They are well prepared to compete in this very difficult economic environment and, as a result, we expect these students to successfully enter their respective fields and begin their new careers.”

Kaplan Career Institute’s Charlestown campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).  ACCSC is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
