TESST College of Technology’s Beltsville Campus to Hold Graduation Ceremony for 80 Students Thursday
State Sen. James C. Rosapepe to Keynote Ceremony
Beltsville, Md., Oct. 29, 2009 –TESST College of Technology’s Beltsville campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 29, for 80 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland, College Park. State Sen. James C. Rosapepe will keynote the ceremony.
The Beltsville-based school will recognize students for earning associate degrees or certificates in the allied health, information technology, criminal justice or trade fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level position in their field of study. According to the most recent Maryland Occupational Projections, a report by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Office of Workforce Information and Performance, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 38.6 percent, correctional officer and jailer positions by 21.4 percent, private detective and investigator positions by 20.7 percent and security guard positions by 17.8 percent from 2006 to 2016.
