    Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology to Host Graduation Ceremony for 142 Students Friday

    DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 9, 2009 – Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, for 142 students.  The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at the Dayton Convention Center at 22 E. Fifth St., Dayton.  Scott Sales, director of operations for Hometown Urgent Care Centers, will keynote the ceremony.

     

    Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees or diplomas in one of six programs in the allied health, criminal justice, graphic design or photography fields.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state.  According to the Ohio Occupational Employment Projections Report, a report by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, Bureau of Labor Market Information, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 32.1 percent, pharmacy technician positions by 22 percent and photographer positions by 4.3 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    “Our students encounter many challenges and make many sacrifices to get to this day,” said Derek Koebel, president of Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology.  “I am honored to call our students graduates—they’ve earned it!”

     

    Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).  ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
