Kaplan University’s Omaha Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 138 Students Saturday
State Sen. Pete Pirsch to Keynote Ceremony
OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 17, 2009—Kaplan University’s Omaha campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 17, for 138 students. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn-Central, 3321 South 72nd St., Omaha. State Sen. Pete Pirsch will keynote the ceremony.
The Omaha-based campus will recognize students for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas or certificates in the business, legal studies, allied health, practical nursing or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the most recent Nebraska Statewide Long Term Occupational Projections, a report by the Nebraska Workforce Development, Labor Market Information, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 50.5 percent, dental assistant positions by 50.8 percent, paralegal positions by 26.5 percent and licensed practical nursing positions by 22.1 percent from 2006 to 2016.
