Kaplan University Council Bluffs Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 54 Students Sunday

—Kaplan University’s Council Bluffs campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 15, for 54 students. The ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m., at the Lied Multipurpose Complex at the Iowa School for the Deaf at 3501 Harry Langdon Boulevard, Council Bluffs. State Rep. Greg Forristall will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s and associate degrees in six programs in the business, allied health and criminal justice fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible to seek entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Labor Market and Workforce Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 30.6 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“Graduation is an important step in the lives of these students,” said Michael Zawisky, executive director of Kaplan University’s Council Bluffs campus. “As each graduate walks across the stage, it is a moment for their family and friends to share in their success. The faculty and staff of Kaplan University are extremely proud of these students and wish them well as they enter their career fields.”
The Kaplan University Council Bluffs campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
