Rob Hogg to Keynote Ceremony     CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, April 10, 2009—Kaplan University, Cedar Rapids campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, April 10, for 106 students.  The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel at 525 33rd Avenue, SW, Cedar Rapids.  State Sen. Rob Hogg will keynote the ceremony.   Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas or certificates in one of 17 programs in the nursing, business, allied health, information technology or criminal justice fields.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Workforce Data & Business Development Bureau, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 30.6 percent, licensed practical nursing positions by 23.8 percent, medical transcriptionist positions by 23.6 percent and computer support specialist positions by 21.6 percent from 2004 to 2014.   The Kaplan University Cedar Rapids campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
