Kaplan College’s Phoenix Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony Friday

    Ceremony to Recognize 150 Students

PHOENIX, August 7, 2009—The Kaplan College Phoenix campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, August 7, for 150 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Arizona State University West campus at 4701 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale, Ariz.

The Phoenix-based campus will recognize students for earning associate degrees or diplomas in one of four programs in the allied health field, which continues to project growth despite the economy.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the most recent Occupational Projections, a report by the Arizona Department of Commerce, Arizona Workforce Informer Division, veterinarian technologist and technician positions are expected to increase by 62.5 percent, pharmacy technician positions by 57.3 percent, medical assistant positions by 42.1 percent and respiratory therapist positions by 31 percent from 2006 to 2016.

“The staff and faculty are proud of all our graduates,” said Shelley Donati, executive director of Kaplan College’s Phoenix campus.  “We are excited for these students as they embark on the next phase of their lives and start their new careers.”

The Kaplan College Phoenix campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools (ACCSC).  ACCSC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
