Kaplan Career Institute’s Detroit Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 339 Students Friday

DETROIT, July 10, 2009—The Kaplan Career Institute Detroit campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, July 10, for 339 students. The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at CoBo Hall at 1 Washington Blvd., Detroit. Anthony O. Kellum, president of Kellum Financial Group, will keynote the ceremony.
The Detroit-based campus will recognize students for earning diplomas in one of four programs in the allied health or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the most recent Occupational Employment Forecasts, a report by the Michigan Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives, Department of Labor and Economic Growth, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 29.9 percent, pharmacy technician positions by 27.1 percent and computer support technician positions by 10 percent from 2006 to 2016.
“Many graduates have faced and overcame extreme obstacles to get to this day,” said Lisia Moore, president of Kaplan Career Institute’s Detroit campus. “I am very proud of our graduates and they are true champions.”
The Kaplan Career Institute Detroit campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools (ACCSC). ACCSC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
