Kaplan College’s Hammond Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony Wednesday
Ceremony to Recognize 124 Students
HAMMOND, Ind., August 5, 2009—The Kaplan College Hammond campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, August 5, for 124 students. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at the Avalon Manor at 3550 E. U.S. Highway 30, Merrillville, Ind.
The Hammond-based campus will recognize students for earning either associate degrees or diplomas in one of eight programs in the allied health or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the most recent Occupational Projections, a report by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Research and Analysis Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 32.4 percent, medical records and health information technician positions by 18.1 percent and massage therapist positions by 12.8 percent from 2006 to 2016.
The Kaplan College Hammond campus is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
