    Kaplan College’s Cincinnati Campus to Host First Graduation Ceremony Saturday

    CINCINNATI, March 7, 2009Kaplan College’s Cincinnati campus will hold its first graduation and medical pinning ceremony on Saturday, March 7, for 30 students.  The medical pinning ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the graduation ceremony at 11:00 a.m.  Both events will take place at Syrian Shriners Temple at 217 William Howard Taft Rd., Cincinnati.  State Rep. Sal Santoro, of the Kentucky Legislature, will keynote the ceremony.

     

    Students will be recognized for earning a diploma in one of two programs in the allied health field. Upon graduation, students may be prepared for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the Ohio Occupational Employment Projections, a report by Ohio Job & Family Services, Office of Workforce Development, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 32.1 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    “It has been exciting to be a part of the professional growth of each of our graduates, and I look forward to their accomplishments in their future career,” said Bill Bradford, executive director of Kaplan College’s Cincinnati campus.

     

    This is the campus’ first graduation ceremony since opening in May 2008.  The campus recently launched a new Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice program.  This is the campus’ first associate degree program.  To accommodate the new program and student enrollment growth, the campus has expanded by more than 4,500 square feet in February.

     

    Kaplan College Cincinnati is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
