Career Centers of Texas’ Fort Worth Campus Changes Name to Kaplan College

Fort Worth Joins Kaplan Family of 10 Texas Campuses

FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 15, 2009—More than 570 Texas college students will have a new name on their college diplomas: Kaplan College.  As part of a broader rebranding strategy, Kaplan Higher Education has renamed its Career Centers of Texas Fort Worth campus to Kaplan College.

“We are proud to extend the Kaplan name to this Texas campus,” said Beth Hollenberg, chief operating officer of Kaplan Higher Education Campuses.  “Texas is an important market for us, and we are committed to offering educational opportunities in some of the most in-demand employment fields in the state.”

The campus, located in downtown Fort Worth, hosted a ceremony Tuesday, Dec. 15, to celebrate the new name.  Highlights included a ribbon cutting and remarks from the campus executive, Kaplan Higher Education executives and Marc Veasey, Texas State Representative.

By changing its name to Kaplan College, the school is formally recognized as being part of the Kaplan, Inc. family.  Kaplan is a global provider of proprietary educational services, and its name reflects a long-standing reputation for excellence.  By renaming its campuses, Kaplan has set out to build a leading brand that can be leveraged across the United States.  Through its high-quality curriculum, career-focused programs and hands-on training, Kaplan students across Texas—and the nation—are well equipped to achieve their educational and career goals.

The campus has been serving the Fort Worth area since 2004.  The campus currently offers two associate degree and three diploma programs.  Areas of study include allied health and criminal justice.  For more information, please visit www.fort-worth.kaplancollege.com.
