FRIENDSWOOD, Texas, Dec. 13, 2008—The Texas School of Business’ Friendswood campus will hold a graduation ceremony Saturday, Dec. 13, for 138 students. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the C. A. Nelson Auditorium located at 2337 N. Galveston Ave., in Pearland. Friendswood Mayor, David J.H. Smith, will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in one of three programs in the allied health field. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Texas Occupational Projections, Texas Workforce Commission, Labor Market Information, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 58.3 percent and dental assistant positions by 33.3 percent from 2006 to 2016.
“I consider it a privilege and honor to witness our students achieve their educational and career goals,” said Theo Anderson, executive director of Texas School of Business’ Friendswood campus. “Many of our graduates have had to overcome many trials and tribulations in their life in order to make it to this point and it is at our graduation ceremony that we honor them for all their hard work and dedication.”
Texas School of Business’ Friendswood campus is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
