    Technology Education College Hosts Graduation Ceremony for 98 Students on Saturday

    Technology Education College will hold a graduation ceremony Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 for 98 students. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Mees Hall, Capital University at 2199 E. Main St., Columbus, Ohio. Columbus City Councilwoman Charleta B. Tavares will keynote the ceremony.


    Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees and diplomas in one of four programs including the allied health, information technology and criminal justice fields.  Upon graduation, students will be prepared for entry-level jobs in their areas of study.  According to the Ohio Occupational Employment Projections, a report by Ohio Job & Family Services, Office of Workforce Development, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 42.2 percent
    from 2004 to 2014.

     

    “We are very proud of all our students’ hard work and educational achievement in 2007,” said James Vaas, executive director of Technology Education College.  “We anticipate that they will have a very successful 2008 as they begin their new careers.”

     

    Technology Education College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).  ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
