LAREDO, Texas, September 12, 2008—Texas Careers’ Laredo campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, September 12, for 120 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at United Middle School at 700 Del Mar Blvd., Laredo.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in one of four programs in the information technology, business or allied health fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Texas Statewide Occupational Projection, a report by Texas Labor Market Information, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 58.5 percent from 2004 to 2014.
Texas Careers’ Laredo campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
