BEAUMONT, Texas, Dec. 12, 2008—Texas Careers’ Beaumont campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, Dec. 12, for 153 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Theatre at 345 Fannin Street in Beaumont. Teacher and pastor, Kavin L. Jones, will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in one of three programs in the allied health field. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Texas Statewide Occupational Projection, a report by Texas Labor Market Information, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 58.3 percent and dental assistant positions by 33.3 percent from 2006 to 2016.
“Commencement is a celebration of our students and faculty,” said Greg Garrett, executive director of the Texas Careers Beaumont campus. “We recognize the importance it holds for our students and their families and we are here to honor them for their efforts. Congratulations to our graduates for a job well done.”
Texas Careers’ Beaumont campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
