Southeastern Career Institute to Host Graduation
Ceremony for 108 Students Friday
Conrad Coleman to Keynote the Ceremony
MIDLAND, Texas, Nov. 14, 2008—Southeastern Career Institute – Midland will hold a graduation ceremony for 108 students. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena at 2514 Arena Trail, in Midland, Texas. Conrad Coleman, son of the late Dr. Viola Coleman, and former local weatherman/news anchor will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in one of five programs in the allied health, professional or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the statewide Texas Occupational Projections, Texas Workforce Commission, Labor Market Information, dental assistant positions are expected to increase by 43.1 percent, medical assistant positions by 58.5 percent and pharmacy technician positions by 34.6 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“Graduation is a time to celebrate our students, their successes, and to celebrate the realization of their dreams,” said Marcy Raynes, executive director of Southeastern Career Institute’s Midland campus. “The road is not always easy, the path is not always smooth, and against all odds, our students believed in themselves and have made it to the finish line. The staff and faculty at SCI are extremely proud of our students’ accomplishments.”
The Southeastern Career Institute Midland campus is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
