Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology to Host Graduation Ceremony for 120 Students

DAYTON, Ohio, July 11, 2008—Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, July 11, for 120 students. The ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Dayton Convention Center, 22 E. Fifth St., Dayton. Glen Sample, official scorer for the Cincinnati Reds, will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees or diplomas in one of four programs in the allied health, criminal justice, graphic design or photography fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Statewide Ohio Occupational Employment Projections, a report by Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Office of Workforce Development, Bureau of Labor Market Information, medical assisting positions are expected to increase by 42.2 percent, graphic design positions by 8.5 percent and pharmacy technician positions by 18.6 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“Our students encounter many challenges and obstacles along the way; however, they make a conscious decision to persevere,” said Derek Koebel, president of Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology. “I am honored to call our students graduates—they earned it!”
The Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
