STOCKTON, Calif., March 18, 2008—Maric College’s Stockton campus will hold a graduation ceremony Saturday, March 22, for 122 students. The ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Temple at 33 W. Apline Ave., Stockton, Calif.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in one of three programs in the allied health field. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Occupational Employment Projections, a report by the Employment Development Department of Labor Market Information, dental assistant positions are expected to increase by 40.9 percent and medical assistant positions 35.7 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“Graduation is proud day for our students, their family and friends, and the staff and faculty of Maric College,” said Bill Jones, executive director of Maric College’s Stockton campus. “Each of these graduates has shown a commitment to their education and we look forward to their future achievements. Tonight is only the beginning.”
This week also marks the launch of Maric College Stockton campus’ first associate degree program in Criminal Justice. The Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice program is designed to provide students a solid foundation in criminal justice and teach them to understand the civil liabilities of criminal justice agencies and practitioners.
