OMAHA, Neb., Dec. 20, 2008 – Kaplan University’s Omaha campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 20, for 139 students. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m., at the Holiday Inn-Central at 3321 S. 72nd St., Omaha.
Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees and diplomas in one of nine programs in the business, allied health, legal or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Nebraska Statewide Long-term Occupational Projections, a report by the Nebraska Workforce Development, Department of Labor, practical nursing positions are expected to increase by 22.1 percent, medical assistant positions by 50.5 percent, dental assistant positions by 50.8 percent, massage therapy positions by 14.9 percent and paralegal positions by 26.5 percent from 2006 to 2016.
