    Kaplan University’s Mason City Campus Hosts Graduation Ceremony for 39 Students Friday

    MASON CITY, Iowa, Nov. 21, 2008Kaplan University’s Mason City campus will host a graduation ceremony on Friday, Nov. 21, for 39 students.  The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at Music Man Square at 308 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City.  Tim Fleming, regional programming manager for Three Eagles Communications, will keynote the ceremony.

    Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s or associate degrees in one of nine programs in the business, information technology, criminal justice or allied health fields.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Labor Market and Workforce Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 24.8 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    “I am proud of our graduates who have worked hard to overcome obstacles in order to achieve their degrees,” said Joe Albers, president of Kaplan University’s Mason City campus.  “We look forward to seeing them apply their confidence and new career skills to employment opportunities throughout the community.”


    The Kaplan University Mason City campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
