Kaplan University’s Davenport Campus Hosts Graduation Ceremony for 52 Students Friday
DAVENPORT , Iowa, Nov. 14, 2008
—Kaplan University’s Davenport campus will host a graduation ceremony for 52 students on Friday, Nov. 14. The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the RiverCenter in the Mississippi Hall at 136 E. Third St., Davenport.
Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees or certificates in one of 16 programs in the allied health, information technology, interdisciplinary, business and legal fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field. According to the Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Labor Market and Workforce Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 24.8 percent and paralegal positions by 22.6 percent from 2006 to 2016.
“Graduation represents the fulfillment of one goal for our students while at the same time it represents a new chapter in their lives as working professionals,” said Mark Garland, president of Kaplan University’s Davenport campus. “We are very fortunate to be a part of this process and we wish our students much success in their future endeavors.”
The Kaplan University Davenport campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
