Kaplan University’s Council Bluffs Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 43 Students Sunday
COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA, June 15, 2008—Kaplan University’s Council Bluffs campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 15, for 43 students. The ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Mid-America Center, One Arena Way, Council Bluffs. Catrice Jackson, motivational speaker, will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees and associate degrees in one of three programs in the business, allied health, interdisciplinary and criminal justice fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Iowa Workforce Development, Policy and Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 30.8 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“Graduation is an important step in the lives of these 43 students,” said Michael Zawisky, executive director of Kaplan University’s Council Bluffs campus. “Many will transition into a new career while other will continue their academic progression. The faculty and staff of Kaplan University are extremely proud of these students and wish them well in their future endeavors.”
The Kaplan University Council Bluffs is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
