    Kaplan University’s Cedar Falls Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 84 Students Friday

    CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, Nov. 7, 2008—The Kaplan University Cedar Falls campus will host a graduation ceremony on Friday, Nov. 7, for 84 graduates.  The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m., at Prairie Lakes Church at 1907 Viking Rd., Cedar Falls.  Josh Nuss, district director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Northern Iowa, will keynote the ceremony.

     

    Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees or diplomas in one of 15 programs in the legal, business, information technology, interdisciplinary and allied health fields.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Labor Market and Workforce Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 24.8 percent, paralegal positions by 22.6 percent and practical nursing positions by 11.9 percent from 2006 to 2016.

     

    “I am so proud of our Kaplan University graduates,” said Gwen Bramlet-Hecker, president of Kaplan University’s Cedar Falls campus.  “It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to reach graduation day.  It is an honor to be at the ceremony and celebrate these wonderful accomplishments.”

     

    The Kaplan University Cedar Falls campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
