SAN DIEGO, Calif., Oct.17, 2008—The Kaplan College San Diego campus will hold two graduation ceremonies for 185 students. The ceremonies will take place at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre at 6611 University Avenue, San Diego, Calif. This ceremony will mark the first class graduating under the Kaplan College name.
Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees and certificates in seven programs in the legal or allied health fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Statewide California Occupational Projections, Labor Market Information Division, State of California Employment Development Department, paralegal positions are expected to increase by 28.5 percent, vocational nursing position by 17.5 percent and medical assistant positions by 35.7 percent from 2006 to 2016.
“Graduation is a day of accomplishment and reflection for our students” said Michael Seifert, president of Kaplan College’s San Diego campus. “We know our students have overcome many obstacles to achieve their educational goals. They will now take their place within the workforce and become future leaders within their chosen field of study. Congratulations to our students, families and friends.”
The Kaplan College San Diego campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
