NASHVILLE, Dec. 12, 2008—Kaplan Career Institute’s Nashville campus will hold a graduation ceremony Friday, Dec. 12 for 124 students.  The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Lipscomb University’s Collins Auditorium at 3901 Greeny White Pike, Nashville.  Dr. John L. Kline, president and founder of the Black Legends of Professional Basketball Foundation, will keynote the ceremony. He is an expert in substance abuse and is known as an advocate for drug free schools in the state of Michigan.

Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees, diplomas or certificates in one of five programs in the legal or allied health fields.  Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state.  According to the Occupational Employment Projections in Tennessee, a report by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 46.8 percent from 2004 to 2014.

"Everyone looks forward to graduation with great anticipation," said Adam Butler, executive director of Kaplan Career Institute’s Nashville campus. "I am extremely proud of our graduates for their perseverance throughout this educational experience.
