Kaplan College’s Denver Campus appoints Todd Smith as New Executive Director
DENVER, Nov. 13, 2008
—The Kaplan College Denver campus has announced the appointment of Todd Smith as the school's new executive director.
“We were very pleased to find someone with Todd’s experience in both the education industry and the Denver area,” said John Kolacinski, regional vice president of operations, western region. “We look forward to having Todd on the team and are confident he will guide the Denver campus in continually providing quality, career-focused educational opportunities to our students.”
Smith has 20 years of experience in educational leadership positions. Most recently, he was the president of Pioneer Pacific College for two years. Prior to that, he was the campus president of Concorde Career College in Denver for five years. He started his career in the education field as a student services coordinator, athletic academic advisor and basketball coach at his alma mater, Clark Community College in Vancouver, Wash.
Smith attended Clark Community College and received an Associate of Arts degree in 1985 before going on to receive his Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in 1993 from Washington State University.
The Kaplan College Denver campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The school offers associate degrees and certificate programs in the allied health and legal fields. For more information, please visit www.kaplancollege.com.
