Legislative Forums to be Held by Hamilton College Students Focus is Corridor Economic Development
October 20, 2005, Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Hamilton College students have invited area legislators to discuss economic development in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City Corridor. Democratic legislators are invited to a forum on Monday, October 24th and the forum for Republican legislators will be held the following Monday, October 31st.
Both forums will begin at Noon and are expected to last approximately one hour. Each legislator has been asked to speak for five to ten minutes, which will be followed by questions from the audience.
Students from three Hamilton College classes are hosting the forums: Political Economy, Principles of Management and Oral Communication. Students and members of the general public are invited to attend. Hamilton College is located at 3165 Edgewood Parkway SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
