Texas Careers’ Beaumont Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 124 Students Friday
Dr. John R. Adolph, Board of Directors President of One Church One Child of Southwest Texas, to Keynote Ceremony
BEAUMONT, TX, June 13, 2008—Texas Careers’ Beaumont campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 13, for 124 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Theatre, 345 Fannin St., Beaumont. Dr. John R. Adolph, pastor of Antioch Missionary and Baptist Church and board of directors president of One Church One Child of Southwest Texas, will keynote the ceremony. One Church One Child is a national adoption recruitment program designed to reach out to the community and identify adoptive families and single parents for children in need of permanent homes.
Students will be recognized for earning diplomas in one of four programs including computer business systems, dental assisting, medical assisting or medical office specialist. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Texas Work Force Commission, Labor Market Information, dental assistant positions are expected to increase by 43 percent and medical assistant positions by 56 percent from 2004 to 2014.

Texas Careers’ Beaumont campus is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
